NICHOLAS MARTIN ā€‹

Nicholas Martin was born in Catalan Bay, a small fishing village on the Eastern  side of Gibraltar.

His love of music and singing developed from an early age, no doubt the warmth and passion that resonates in his performances was inspired by blue skies, sunshine and the Mediterranean Sea.

Nicholas Martin is blessed with an expansive and expressive voice.  His command of English, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese languages enable him to him to deliver a hugely diverse repertoire with consummate ease.  

His natural empathy for the Latin and Hispanic repertoire has been critically acclaimed for his warm and evocative sound which demonstrates a profound understanding of this genre.

Nicholas Martin enjoys a successful international career.

KAUSIKAN RAJESHKUMAR

Pianist

Kausikan Rajeshkumar has performed extensively across the UK and abroad, including at the Royal Festival Hall, Wigmore Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall, and has been broadcast on BBC and European television and radio. A BBC Young Musician Piano Finalist in 2008, he won the Weimar International Franz Liszt Competition for Young Pianists in 2009, and went on to enjoy success in many other competitions, including the Parnassos International Piano Competition, the Maria Herrero International Piano Competition, the Darmstadt International Chopin Piano Competition and the Royal Overseas League Music Competition. 

 

Graduating with a first in Music from Cambridge University, he continued his studies at the Royal College of Music on a full ABRSM scholarship, where he was awarded the Hopkinson Gold Medal. 

 

Kausikan often incorporates improvisation into his recital programmes, in venues from the Southbank Centre to more unconventional spaces such as Sofar Sounds, and was a founding member of the chamber group the Margosa Ensemble. His recent film score for the Single Tumbler was screened internationally at film festivals in Barcelona, Jaipur, Dhaka and the London South Asian Film Festival.
